Such a fun airplane. I took spin training in the Super Decathlon and it was fun. I will get to do it again in a couple of weeks. I am going for my private pilot and yes, I am learning how to recover from spins and other crazy attitudes. After flying this bird, I now understand why there are two seat belts and harnesses and why they need to be tight. And Yes I had a parachute on.
Is there a current backlog for flight training?
Thank you for your question! At the moment we are unable to guarantee when students will begin their flight training, but we are doing everything in our power to get students flying as soon as possible. At the moment, most students begin flight training their sophomore year, but will still be able to take aviation classes, live in the aviation dorms, and get involved with all of the aviation student organizations as a freshman. This does not mean that you will not fly your freshman year, just that we cannot accurately predict when a student will begin their flight training in order to protect WMU's high safety and quality flight training standards.

Not sure! We've dug pretty deep into our archives, but we have not come across anything.

@@Storm10xx That is a great thought. I'll try to reach out to some of the local news stations. Too bad cell phones weren't readily being used when it arrived! I believe we kept a few thinks - like a few instrument panels. But not much else.

Very nice video! Just retired with Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix Arizona. Although I majored in flight at Western in the 70’s, I worked in engineering customer support for Honeywell products working with all airlines in the world and have traveled to them. What is the youngest age that can attend?
Hello Sylvain. The camp is set up for high school students. The individual must be in 9th through 12th grade, which is typically 14 to 18 years of age.

Hello Robert. Sorry for the delay in responding to this. As of right now, we don't have any plans. In truth, we have actually purchased more ourselves to address the increased enrollment.
